California Closer to Ending Gender Rating

The two bills PRCH physicians lobbied for during California Advocacy Day have passed their respective chambers in the California legislature. Both pieces of legislation would prohibit health insurance companies from charging women higher monthly premiums for individual policies than men. Now the California assembly will consider the senate’s bill while the senate considers the assembly’s bill.
